The Grants Officer at Reproductive Health Network Kenya (RHNK) will support end-to-end grants management, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and effective financial oversight. This role will work closely with program and finance teams to manage budgets, track grant performance, and support donor reporting for SRHR-focused projects.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in grant proposal writing, budgeting, and submission.
Track deadlines, reporting requirements, and ensure compliance.
Monitor grant expenditures and support financial reporting.
Maintain accurate documentation and liaise with donors and stakeholders.
Support policy development and staff capacity building in grants management.
Ensure internal controls, risk assessment, and audit readiness.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
CPA qualification required.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in grants management, preferably with USAID/FCDO-funded projects.
Strong budgeting, financial reporting, and donor compliance skills.
Proficiency in grants management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Key Competencies
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
Capacity to train and mentor staff and partners on grant compliance.
Familiarity with the grant lifecycle: application, award, implementation, closeout.
Additional Details
Job location: RHNK Secretariat – requires up to 50% travel.
Terms: 12-month renewable contract based on performance and funding availability.
Reports to: Finance Manager.
