The Financial Reporting Centre (FRC), established under section 21 of the Proceeds of Crime and Anti-Money Laundering Act No. 9 of 2009, is a government agency whose principal objective is to assist in the identification of the proceeds of crime and combat money laundering, terrorism financing and proliferation financing. The Centre is seeking to recruit qualified and competent individuals for the position of Finance and Accounts Officer II, FRC 8, with two (2) vacancies available.

Job Profile and Purpose

The Finance and Accounts Officer II will serve at the entry and training grade within the finance and accounts cadre. The officer will perform financial and accounting duties under the guidance of a designated supervisor, supporting payment processing, financial record management, bank reconciliations, receipt issuance, cash balance reporting and the safe custody of finance and accounts records.

Responsibilities

Initiate payment processes as guided by the Senior Accountant and submit them for verification.
Ensure that supporting documents for payments are received from users and attached to the respective payments.
File payment records for all transactions.
Reconcile payment records for all transactions.
Perform bank reconciliations.
Process student or customer payments and issue receipts as appropriate.
Prepare reports on cash balances.
Ensure the safe custody of finance and accounts records.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or another relevant qualification from a recognised institution.
Proficiency in relevant computer applications.

Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) clearance.
Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) clearance.
