The Financial Reporting Centre (FRC), established under section 21 of the Proceeds of Crime and Anti-Money Laundering Act No. 9 of 2009, is a government agency whose principal objective is to assist in the identification of the proceeds of crime and combat money laundering, terrorism financing and proliferation financing. The Centre is seeking to recruit qualified and competent individuals for the position of Internal Auditor II, FRC 8, with one (1) vacancy available.

Job Profile and Purpose

The Internal Auditor II will serve at the entry and training grade within the internal audit cadre. The officer will undertake audit assignments, contribute to the preparation of audit reports, participate in evaluating the implementation of audit recommendations, assist in information systems audits and support the implementation of new technologies and business applications under the guidance of a designated supervisor.

Responsibilities

Undertake audit assignments in line with the approved audit work plan.
Provide input in the preparation of audit reports for audit engagements.
Participate in evaluating the progress and effectiveness of actions taken to implement audit recommendations arising from internal and external audits.
Assist in conducting information systems audit engagements, including testing and evaluating programmes, quality assurance and reporting of audit results.
Assist in implementing new technologies and business applications.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration with a Finance and Accounting option, or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.
Proficiency in computer applications.
