Liberty Life Assurance Kenya Ltd is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Business Acquisition Specialist. The successful candidate will drive new business sales targets through all channels while working with Administrators, Brokers, Independent and tied Agencies as well as direct clients through relationship building and timely support.

Position Details

Position: Business Acquisition Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

Understand and fulfil clients’ needs through product understanding and make recommendations to the sales team on business acquisition opportunities.
Ensure a culture of effective and efficient service delivery to customers within the Group Life team to support customer retention and satisfaction.
Provide technical support to Group Life and Pension Schemes distribution channels to enhance business acquisitions and meet organizational growth objectives.
Support agents and intermediaries in preparing tender documents in alignment with tender requirements.
Ensure smooth onboarding of new business through proper documentation.
Implement the credit control policy within Group Life Schemes to ensure revenue collection.
Effectively improve risk exposure to deliver greater shareholder value within set limits.
Maintain and promote effective internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Provide relevant and accurate management information to relevant stakeholders to support business growth objectives.
Concentrate on all lines of business including Brokers, Agents, Direct and Affinity by providing quotes.
Gather market intelligence, issue quotes, ensure they are competitive and follow up prospects for closure.
Conduct member education and training on products for intermediaries, prospects and existing clients.
Organise reward programmes and bonding sessions.
Enhance cross-selling across GLA clients and achieve organic growth in the existing GLA portfolio.
Analyse and update contracts related to group risk schemes, including reviewing treaties, recommending amendments or endorsements and reviewing the effect of treaties on the business.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, preferably with an Insurance option, Actuarial Science or a Business-related field.
Professional qualification in Insurance such as ACII or AIIK.

Experience

At least two years’ experience in life insurance or similar experience in a reputable organization.

Competencies

In-depth understanding of insurance operations and concepts.
Knowledge of insurance regulatory requirements.
Understanding of business acquisition processes.
Knowledge of underwriting and claims procedures.
Customer service skills.
Adherence to principles and values.
Ability to deliver results and meet customer expectations.
