Progressive Credit is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Accountant. Progressive Credit is a non-deposit-taking microfinance institution with branches across the country.

Position Details

Position: Accountant.
Employer: Progressive Credit.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate financial reports monthly, quarterly and annually.
Ensure timely management accounts within 5 to 10 working days after month-end.
Complete bank, mobile money, loan portfolio and general ledger reconciliations.
Maintain accurate loan portfolio accounting including interest, fees, provisions and write-offs.
Ensure regulatory and tax compliance.
Support budgeting and variance analysis.
Maintain strong internal controls.
Assist with audits and ensure documentation is ready.
Monitor cash flows and provide forecasts.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics or related field.
CPA(K) is mandatory.
3 to 5 years relevant accounting experience.
Microfinance experience is an added advantage.
