Oasis Healthcare Group is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Pharmaceutical Technologist. The successful candidate will support the pharmacist in the accurate and efficient dispensing of medications while maintaining proper pharmaceutical records, stock control and compliance with regulatory and safety standards.

Qualifications

Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution.
Valid license from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
At least two years of experience in a clinical or supply chain setup including a hospital, pharmacy or warehouse.
Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, stock management and regulatory guidelines.
Excellent communication, counseling and interpersonal skills.
High level of integrity and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately dispense prescription and over the counter medicines to patients.
Provide correct dosage instructions and educate patients on the safe use of medicines.
Counsel patients on possible side effects, drug interactions and storage of medicines.
Ensure rational drug use in line with treatment guidelines.
Receive, verify and record incoming pharmaceutical supplies.
Monitor stock levels and ensure availability of essential medicines.
Prevent stock outs, overstocking and drug expiries through proper inventory control.
Maintain accurate records of stock movement and generate periodic reports.
Ensure all pharmaceutical activities comply with Pharmacy and Poisons Board regulations.
Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety and confidentiality within the pharmacy.
Participate in pharmacovigilance by reporting adverse drug reactions and poor quality medicines.
Assist in preparing orders and liaise with suppliers for replenishment of medicines.
Support audits, inspections and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Contribute to departmental reports, data collection and performance reviews.
