The Nairobi West Hospital is seeking to recruit a qualified candidate for the position of Emergency Medical Technician in Nairobi, Kenya. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering prompt and safe pre-hospital and emergency care, assessing and stabilising patients, supporting emergency response, ensuring safe ambulance transportation, maintaining emergency equipment, and collaborating with the healthcare team to provide quality, patient-centred care.

Job Purpose

Deliver prompt, safe pre-hospital and emergency care.
Assess and stabilise patients.
Support emergency response.
Ensure safe ambulance transportation.
Maintain emergency equipment.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide quality, patient-centred care.

Academic and Professional Qualifications

Certificate or Diploma in Emergency Medical Technology (EMT) or a related field from a recognised institution.
Valid professional registration or licensure with the relevant regulatory authority in Kenya.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), International Trauma Life Support (ITLS), or equivalent certification will be an added advantage.
Valid driving licence suitable for operating emergency vehicles where applicable.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in emergency medical services, ambulance services or Accident and Emergency care is preferred.
