The Nairobi West Hospital is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Medical Officer for its Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and High Dependency Unit (HDU). The successful candidate will provide safe, timely and effective critical care to critically ill patients through emergency assessment, stabilisation, treatment, monitoring, appropriate clinical procedures and coordinated multidisciplinary management, within the scope of professional competence and institutional authorisation.

Job Purpose

The Medical Officer, ICU/HDU, will provide safe, timely and effective critical care to critically ill patients through emergency assessment, stabilisation, treatment, monitoring, appropriate clinical procedures and coordinated multidisciplinary management, within the scope of professional competence and institutional authorisation.

Academic and Professional Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery or its recognised equivalent by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board (KMPDB).
Completion of preregistration training (internship) certified by the KMPDB.
At least two (2) years of experience in ICU/HDU.

Added Advantages

Valid registration, retention and private practice licences from the KMPDB.
Indemnity cover of at least Kshs. 20 million.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
