M.P. Shah Hospital is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Dentist. The successful candidate will carry out a full range of dental examinations, care, and related procedures for the hospital's patients in line with established protocols.

Key Responsibilities

Ask questions regarding patient's ailments, history, symptoms, discomfort or pain in order to understand the patient's condition.
Recommend tests in order to further clarify the patient's condition and disease.
Prepare a structured medical report for each patient capturing background information of ailment, medical history, physical examination, specimen obtained, and suggested treatment.
Maintain patient files and undertake continuous monitoring and regular evaluation of project activities.
Assess collected information and test results and utilize medical knowledge and expertise to establish a diagnosis.
Compile and analyze data collected from dental surveys, dental care programs, patient-related records, or patient records to evaluate the quality of service received by patients.
Comply with established health and safety policies regarding the handling of instruments, storage of drugs, and disposal of sharps and other potentially dangerous equipment and substances.
Educate and counsel patients on improving health, preventing disease, and interventions or treatments that treat risk factors.
Train graduate trainees and dental assistants undertaking their post-medical training.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Dental Surgery or its equivalent.
Practicing license from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
A minimum of 3 to 4 years' experience in a similar position.
