Oasis Healthcare Group is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Critical Care Nurse. The successful candidate will provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients through continuous assessment, advanced patient monitoring, life support interventions and evidence based nursing care while ensuring patient safety and quality clinical outcomes.

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a recognized institution.
Higher Diploma in Critical Care Nursing.
Registered Nurse with a valid Nursing Council of Kenya practicing license.
Valid Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
At least two years of experience in ICU, HDU, Emergency Department or a similar critical care setting.
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, communication and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in ICU or HDU.
Monitor patients' vital signs and respond promptly to changes in clinical condition.
Administer medications, intravenous therapies and blood products safely and accurately.
Operate and monitor critical care equipment including ventilators, cardiac monitors and infusion pumps.
Assist in emergency procedures, resuscitation and advanced life support interventions.
Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.
Implement infection prevention and patient safety protocols.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
Educate and support patients' families regarding treatment and ongoing care.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of critical care equipment and supplies.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits and continuous professional development.
Uphold professional, ethical and regulatory nursing standards at all times.
