The company is seeking a caring and smart Clinical Officer to join its team and provide independent, evidence-based clinical care with the support of guidelines, technology, and clinical mentors.

Position Details

Position: Clinical Officer.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive and high-quality clinical services, including history taking, examination, and prescription of treatment to patients.
Order investigations, interpret results for diagnosis, and explain the results and intended treatment to patients.
Attend to emergencies presenting at the clinic and recommend referrals for cases that cannot be managed.
Carry out minor surgical procedures in accordance with Penda's service schedules.
Ensure all required observations and vital signs, prescribed treatments, and procedures are carried out and documented on patients' charts.
Create positive patient experiences through counselling and health talks on preventive and promotive health.
Embrace, learn, and develop within an evidence-based medical system in line with Penda's developed protocols.
Undertake additional tasks within the Medical Centre as assigned by the branch manager or clinical officer in charge.
Participate in continuous professional development to remain current with advances in medical practices and technology.

Qualifications

At least 2 years of work experience after internship.
Registration with the Clinical Officers Council and a valid practising licence.
A Diploma, Higher Diploma, or BSc in Clinical Medicine.
Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
