Oasis Healthcare Group is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Clinical Officer - Anaesthetist. The successful candidate will provide safe, effective and evidence based anaesthesia services by assessing patients, administering anaesthesia, monitoring patients during surgical procedures and supporting post operative recovery in accordance with clinical protocols and professional standards.

Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery.
Higher Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery (Anaesthesia).
Registered and licensed by the Clinical Officers Council with a valid practicing license.
Current certification in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
At least two years of experience in administering anaesthesia within a busy hospital setting.
Strong knowledge of anaesthetic techniques, airway management, patient monitoring and emergency response.
Excellent clinical judgment, communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct pre anaesthetic assessments and prepare patients for surgical procedures.
Administer general, regional and local anaesthesia within the scope of practice.
Monitor patients before, during and after anaesthesia and provide prompt intervention when necessary.
Operate and monitor anaesthesia machines, ventilators and related equipment.
Assist in airway management, resuscitation and emergency life support during surgical procedures.
Maintain accurate documentation of anaesthetic procedures and patient records.
Maintain infection prevention and patient safety standards within the operating theatre.
Collaborate with surgeons, nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide perioperative care.
Ensure proper maintenance and safe use of anaesthetic equipment and supplies.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits and continuous professional development.
Provide patient education on anaesthetic procedures and post operative recovery.
Adhere to professional, ethical and regulatory standards governing clinical practice.
