Mater Misericordiae Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in East and Central Africa, is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Clinical Instructor. The successful candidate will support nursing and midwifery students through clinical and theoretical instruction while facilitating effective learning experiences.

Position Details

Position: Clinical Instructor.
Employer: Mater Misericordiae Hospital.
Location: Nairobi, Kenya.

Main Duties

The Clinical Instructor will coordinate clinical presentations to assist students in achieving critical thinking.
Prepare and implement new students' orientation program to ensure quick settlement at the school and clinical areas.
Follow students in clinical placements both internal and external.
Plan for and conduct theoretical and practical assessments for students.
Assess practical books regularly to establish the level of proficiency attained by students in conducting procedures.
Produce and distribute course learning objectives as well as student schedules to clinical facilities prior to student attendance at the facility.
Design master rotations, assessment schedules or any other teaching and learning tool.
Communicate with the nursing department as necessary to resolve issues or concerns in the clinical areas.
Collaborate with colleagues to revise and evaluate course content and learning outcomes.
Discuss with students their concerns or problems directly or indirectly related to the learning experience.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department and provide reports as required.
Perform any other duty assigned.

Required Qualifications

The candidate should hold KRN/KRM/KRN/M/KRCHN/BSCN.
Have computer proficiency.
Have a minimum of 2 years of active classroom and clinical teaching in Nursing/Midwifery practice.
Be registered with NCK with a valid practicing license.
Persons with specialization in KRCCN, KRNN, KRPON have an added advantage.
