Safari Park Hotel is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Chef de Partie. Reporting to the Executive Chef, the successful candidate will be responsible for controlling an assigned section within the kitchen, preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining hygiene and safety standards, and supporting the kitchen team in daily operations.

Position Details

Position: Chef de Partie.

Key Responsibilities

Control a given section within the kitchen to the standards laid down and confirm compliance with health and safety standards.
Create high-quality dishes as part of the kitchen team.
Cook consistently and enthusiastically at a high level as directed by the Executive Chef.
Check the function sheets daily with the Senior Chef on duty regarding the work that needs to be carried out for the day.
Ensure that the station and working environment are kept hygienically clean and work is carried out in a hygienic manner.
Control incoming goods and store them in perfect conditions.
Report any breakdowns or kitchen hazards directly to the Executive Chef or to the Sous Chef in their absence.
Assist the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs with menu planning and ideas as required.

Qualifications and Skills

Aged 25 to 35 years.
Holder of a certificate or diploma in food production or culinary arts.
At least three (3) years' experience in a similar position in the hotel industry.
Knowledgeable about the culinary industry and food preparation.
Organised, with the ability to delegate tasks well and work in a high stress environment.
Knowledge of hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen and discipline to enforce those standards.
Flexible and able to work in 24 hour rotating shifts.
