Job Profile and Purpose

The Teller serves as a frontline representative of Tower Sacco, responsible for handling cash transactions, providing efficient member service and ensuring compliance with SACCO policies and financial procedures. The role is essential in maintaining customer satisfaction, accurate record-keeping and the security of SACCO funds while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

Receive and accurately process deposits, withdrawals, repayments and other cash transactions in accordance with established procedures.
Adhere to all cash-handling, cash-storage, security and financial control procedures.
Identify opportunities to migrate members to suitable and cost-effective service channels, including mobile banking, internet banking and ATMs.
Implement and comply with anti-money laundering, sanctions and other regulatory requirements in accordance with SACCO policies and procedures.
Support customer onboarding and ongoing due diligence processes, including enhanced due diligence where required.
Resolve member complaints and refer complex issues to the appropriate supervisor when necessary.
Identify appropriate solutions to member concerns in line with SACCO policies and guidelines.
Deliver high-quality customer service and identify opportunities to cross-sell SACCO products and services.
Identify and report suspicious transactions to protect SACCO funds and support fraud prevention.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Co-operative Management, Finance, Accounting or another related field; or a diploma in Management, Accounting, Finance and Banking or a relevant field.
Alternatively, a relevant professional certification such as Certified Credit Professional (CCP) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
At least three (3) years of relevant work experience, preferably in a reputable financial institution.
KCSE mean grade of at least C (Plain), with a minimum grade of C (Plain) in English and Mathematics.
