The successful candidate will oversee and manage daily accounting operations in a high volume, fast paced environment while ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and timely support for management decision making. The role also provides leadership in maintaining strong internal controls, supervising accounting staff, and streamlining financial processes for operational efficiency.

Position Details

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and GAAP.
Ensure timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts including banks, payables, receivables, and inventory.
Analyze financial data and provide insights to support management decision making.
Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by ensuring accurate posting of financial transactions.
Assist in developing annual budgets and rolling forecasts while monitoring budget performance and variance analysis.
Oversee invoicing, collections, and supplier payments while implementing controls for credit limits, payment terms, and cash flow.
Support procurement and sales teams in resolving invoice discrepancies and payment delays.
Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure compliance with company financial policies, tax laws, accounting standards, and statutory reporting requirements.
Supervise and mentor junior accountants while driving continuous improvement of accounting systems, workflows, and reporting tools.
Collaborate with Information Technology and operations teams to automate and streamline finance functions.
Monitor daily cash positions, manage disbursements and fund transfers, and prepare weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts.
Support management in financial planning, investment analysis, cost optimization, and provide financial information to auditors, regulators, and senior leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA K, ACCA, or an equivalent professional accounting certification is required.
Minimum of five to seven years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a busy or high volume organization.
Strong understanding of IFRS, tax laws, and financial regulations.
Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle, or Odoo, together with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
