Rongo University is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Senior Lecturer - Nusrsing. The successful candidate will provide high quality teaching, supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research, lead academic programme development, conduct research and contribute to the University's administrative and community engagement activities.

Position: Senior Lecturer - Nursing.

Key Responsibilities

Teach and examine undergraduate and graduate courses.
Supervise undergraduate projects, tutorials, practical sessions, field work and industrial attachments.
Supervise theses, dissertations and research projects for postgraduate programmes.
Examine postgraduate theses and dissertations.
Provide leadership in the development of academic programmes.
Lead the development and implementation of funded research and development proposals.
Disseminate research findings through scholarly publications, product registration and other appropriate platforms.
Undertake administrative responsibilities through committees, boards and other University appointments.
Provide professional consultancy and community service.
Perform any other duties assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

Doctor of Philosophy or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution in the relevant specialization. A Master's degree may be considered in special cases.
Registered or eligible for registration with the relevant professional body where applicable.
At least three years teaching experience at university level as a Lecturer or at least six years relevant research or industry experience.
A minimum of eight publication points as a Lecturer or equivalent, with at least six publication points from refereed scholarly journals.
Successfully supervised at least three postgraduate students at Master's or PhD level to completion. Supervision of PhD students must be undertaken by PhD holders.
Demonstrated participation in professional consultancies or community service.
Demonstrated participation in University administrative duties including boards, committees and other appointments.
Applicants for the position of Senior Research Fellow should have an additional four publication points, with at least two publication points from refereed scholarly journals.
