The Milk Grader is responsible for assessing and ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of milk received from farmers. This role plays a critical part in maintaining high dairy production standards by accurately grading, recording, and safeguarding milk throughout the collection and delivery process.

Key Responsibilities

Grade, weigh, and record milk delivered by farmers on a daily basis.
Act as a communication link between farmers and the dairy cooperative.
Maintain and safeguard all equipment assigned for milk grading and collection.
Oversee vehicle control and coordination during milk collection activities.
Supervise milk transporters and loaders during collection and transit.
Ensure the safety, quality, and quantity of milk collected and delivered to the plant.
Participate in farmer engagement initiatives including milk mobilization and training on quality standards.
Deliver farm inputs to farmers as required.
Represent the organization positively to farmers and stakeholders at all times.

Qualifications

Diploma or Certificate in Dairy Technology, Dairy Management, or a related field.
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.
Minimum of 1 to 2 years experience in dairy production, milk grading, or quality control.
Familiarity with dairy standards and regulatory requirements.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in quality assessment.
Good communication and interpersonal skills when engaging farmers and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and within field based environments.
Organizational and record keeping skills.
Integrity and accountability in handling milk quality and quantities.
