The Laikipia County Public Service Board, established under Section 57 of the County Governments Act, 2012, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Community Health Officer II. This is an entry and training grade responsible for supporting community health services through health promotion, disease prevention, data collection, and coordination of community health activities.

Position Details

Position: Community Health Officer II.
Job Group: CPSB 10.
Number of Vacancies: Two (2).
Salary: Ksh. 34,420 to Ksh. 46,120 per month, subject to annual salary progression.

Key Responsibilities

Identify common ailments and minor injuries at the community level and take appropriate action.
Identify and refer health cases to the appropriate health facilities.
Coordinate community health activities and programmes.
Collect and collate household health data for analysis.
Sensitize communities and disseminate health information.
Identify defaulters of health interventions and refer them to appropriate health facilities.
Convene community dialogue meetings and action days in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Requisition refills for community health worker kits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Community Health and Development, Environmental Health, Health Education and Promotion, Population Studies, Epidemiology, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
Certificate in Computer Application Skills from a recognized institution.
