Job Description

The Preschool Teacher will provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment for children in Pre-Primary 1 and 2. The role involves developing foundational competencies through play-based learning and age-appropriate teaching approaches, in accordance with the CBC Early Years Education framework.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Diploma or Certificate in Early Childhood Development and Education (ECDE) from a recognised institution, or a Degree in Early Childhood Education.
Must possess a Teachers Service Commission (TSC) registration certificate for ECDE teachers.
At least one (1) to two (2) years of teaching experience in a CBC ECDE classroom.
Training in Pre-Primary CBC offered by TSC or KICD will be an added advantage.
Knowledge of Competency-Based Assessment.

Key Skills and Competencies

Patience and a caring disposition when working with young children.
Creativity and ability to develop engaging, play-based learning activities.
Excellent storytelling and singing skills.
High energy and enthusiasm when engaging young learners.
Good communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with children and parents.
Basic First Aid skills.

Other Requirements and Expectations

Adherence to the TSC Code of Conduct and Ethics for Teachers.
Commitment to the school's Child Protection Policy and Safeguarding Policy.
Uphold the CBC core values of Love, Responsibility, Respect, Unity, Peace, Patriotism, Social Justice and Integrity.
Willingness to work beyond regular classroom hours to support remedial teaching, clubs and school events.
A committed Christian or Muslim with good moral standing is preferred.
