Kabarak University is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Lecturer in Pharmacognosy. The successful candidates will undertake teaching and research, supervise research projects, mentor students, contribute to curriculum development and review, and assist in the smooth running of the department.

Position: Lecturer in Pharmacognosy.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching and research, four courses per semester.
Supervision of research projects.
Mentoring of students and academic advising.
Setting and marking assignments, tests and examinations.
Assisting in smooth running of the department.
Development and review of curriculum.
Providing leadership to the other departmental members.
Any other duty assigned by the Head of Department and Dean of School or University Authority.

Qualifications and Skills

An earned PhD or equivalent degree qualification in the area of specialization or relevant field from an accredited and recognized University, and be registered or registerable with the relevant professional body where applicable.
A Master degree in the area of specialization or relevant field from an accredited and recognized University in special cases, with at least three years teaching experience at University level or in research or in industry.
Three years teaching experience at University level or in research or in industry.
Registered with the relevant professional body.
A minimum of 24 publication points, of which at least sixteen should be from refereed journal papers.
Born again Christian and active member of a local church.
