Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Lecturer [2] - Clinical Officer - AN Scale - KMTC 8. Duties and Responsibilities

Teach and evaluate students.
Prepare schemes of work, lesson notes and lesson plans.
Assess students in clinical areas.
Guide and counsel students on matters related to their academics.
Support the design and development of instruments to assess health training needs.
Develop guidelines for the evaluation of health teaching materials.
Evaluate training programmes to determine their effectiveness and relevance.
Implement competence based curriculum.
Plan and organise continuing education programmes for health workers.
Conduct research in the area of specialisation and supervise students on research projects.

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must meet the following requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Clinical Medicine.

OR

KMTC Higher Diploma in any of the following specialisations: Clinical Medicine and Surgery, Ophthalmology, Dermatology and Venereology, Orthopaedics and Trauma Medicine, Anaesthesia, Emergency and Critical Care Medicine, Chest Medicine, Paediatrics, ENT Head and Neck Surgery, Audiology and Hearing Care Technology, Speech and Language Pathology, Nephrology, Oncology and Palliative Care, Ophthalmology and Cataract Surgery, Ophthalmology, Low Vision and Refraction, Reproductive Health, Family Health, or Mental Health and Psychiatry, with practice in the relevant field for a minimum period of six (6) years.
Registration with the Clinical Officers Council (COC).
A valid practicing license.
Proficiency in computer applications.
