The Program Intern will support the Technology and Human Rights Department at Amnesty International Kenya by providing administrative, research, and logistical assistance across a range of human rights programs. Working under the guidance of the Head of Programmes, the intern will contribute to the effective delivery of projects focused on social justice, governance, and the protection of fundamental freedoms.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct desk research and literature reviews on human rights issues to inform policy briefs and campaigns.
Monitor national news and trends to provide timely human rights updates.
Prepare and format project reports, summaries, and donor updates.
Support logistics for workshops, trainings, and public events.
Assist in developing knowledge products on human rights topics.
Provide administrative support during field missions and community activities.
Support scheduling, calendar management, and meeting preparation.
Qualifications and Skills
Recent graduate in Human Rights, Law, Social Sciences, International Relations, or related field.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
Excellent organizational and administrative skills with ability to multitask.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office365 and digital collaboration tools.
Strong attention to detail and proactive problem solving skills.
Ability to work in a diverse and multicultural environment.
Desirable
Experience volunteering or interning in an NGO or human rights setting.
Understanding of the Kenyan human rights landscape and civil society operations.
