CKL Africa Limited welcomes applications from qualified candidates for the position of Warehouse Equipment Operator (Handling and Lifting) at Tatu Mineral Plant. The successful candidate will safely and efficiently operate powered industrial material handling and lifting equipment to load and unload materials, and move packed materials in pallets to designated areas.

Position Details

Position: Warehouse Equipment Operator (Handling and Lifting).
Location: Tatu City.
Department: Warehouse and Logistics.
Reports to: Warehouse Team Leader.

Key Responsibilities

Unload goods from vehicles such as trucks and trailers.
Load goods to trucks and trailers as per customer orders or loading lists shared by the dispatch officer.
Ensure the store is neatly arranged.
Observe FIFO and FEFO in material and finished goods storage.
Participate in daily, weekly and monthly stock takes.
Move materials to tipping and dumping points as per production requirements.
Perform daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery, lubrication and basic engine checks.
Report any out of control situations.
Deliver performance objectives set and institute immediate corrective action where performance is below par.
Proactively manage own learning and development.
Adhere to the annual leave plan agreed with the line manager.
Update personal job knowledge through educational opportunities, professional publications, personal networks, and professional and industry events, meetings and forums.
Adhere to HR policies in the management of employees and maintain a conducive working environment.
Manage activities within approved limits.
Ensure trucks are choked before the offloading process starts.
Ensure safe and stable racking of raw materials and finished goods.
Use the right PPE.
Adhere to and comply with cGMP, policies, procedures and statutory guidelines.
Prepare and submit reports to relevant stakeholders within agreed formats and timelines.
Present reports that facilitate informed and sound decision making, including trends, insights, concerns and recommendations.

Qualifications

Minimum Diploma in Plant Equipment Operations.
A valid driving licence with a stamp for lifting devices.
Minimum 3 years' experience in operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and stackers.
