Jambojet is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Maintenance Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out and certifying aircraft servicing, repairs, and component replacements in compliance with Kenya Civil Aviation Authority regulations and Jambojet maintenance standards while ensuring the highest levels of safety, airworthiness, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Support the day to day administration of the aircraft maintenance training program across the Approved Maintenance Organization and relevant stakeholders.
Coordinate with instructors, approved training organizations, and internal stakeholders to facilitate maintenance training activities.
Communicate and coordinate training matters with operational managers and maintenance teams.
Ensure corrective and preventive actions relating to compliance issues are implemented and monitored for effectiveness.
Schedule, coordinate, and monitor training programs while maintaining training records, licenses, authorizations, and competency data within the Qpulse system.
Promote awareness of maintenance training requirements among management and technical personnel.
Conduct training needs assessments and support the development of training plans aligned with maintenance operational requirements.
Prepare routine training progress reports and maintain accurate curriculum databases and records.
Ensure training documentation is retained in accordance with the approved training manual and participate in audits and technical meetings.
Coordinate implementation of the maintenance training budget with relevant departments while supporting compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in a relevant engineering discipline from a recognized university.
Minimum of two (2) years of aircraft maintenance experience.
Relevant aircraft maintenance and engineering certifications are required.
Strong knowledge of aviation maintenance regulations and Kenya Civil Aviation Authority requirements.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage training schedules, records, certifications, and budgets.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with engineers, supervisors, regulators, and training providers.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment while maintaining strict compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Customer service or airline industry certifications are an added advantage.
