About the Role

We are seeking a skilled, proactive and innovative IT Support Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will provide technical support, maintain and troubleshoot IT systems, and support the implementation and improvement of our software, Point of Sale (POS), weighing, database and automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical support to internal staff and clients, resolving hardware and software issues.
Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot POS systems, computers, weighing machines and related equipment.
Write, test, debug and maintain code for software applications, system integrations and customised technology solutions.
Develop and improve software features, automate processes and integrate hardware with software systems.
Support database management, backups, system integration and network connectivity.
Test software updates, identify bugs and implement appropriate fixes and enhancements.
Participate in research and development involving Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT) and automation technologies.
Ensure information security, data protection and reliable system performance.
Prepare technical reports, maintain documentation and provide user training.
Conduct client site visits and collaborate with technical teams to implement and support technology solutions.

Qualifications and Requirements

A diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
Practical knowledge of computer hardware, software installation, networking and troubleshooting.
Proven proficiency in JavaScript, including React Native, Node.js, Next.js and Electron.js, PHP (Laravel) and Dart (Flutter).
Strong knowledge of MySQL, MSSQL, SQLite, PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
Experience in VPS (Ubuntu) and Shared Hosting (cPanel) environments.
Experience in Embedded Systems will be an added advantage.
Familiarity with databases, APIs, system integration and software development tools will be an added advantage.
Experience with POS systems, weighing technologies or automation solutions will be an added advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and customer service skills.
Ability to learn new technologies, work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
