The Food Systems and Nutrition Intern will support CIFOR-ICRAF research under the TREES theme, focusing on food systems, nutrition, and community-based studies. The role contributes to research on food production, diets, markets, and drivers of food choice, supporting evidence generation to improve tree productivity, diversity, and sustainable food systems.
Key Responsibilities
Support data entry, data cleaning, and data management for ongoing research studies.
Conduct literature reviews and assist with evidence synthesis for proposals, reports, and journal articles.
Review and provide input on scientific and technical project documents.
Assist with audio transcription and qualitative data preparation.
Perform additional administrative and research-related tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Required Qualifications
Recently completed degree in nutrition, agriculture, social sciences, or statistics.
Experience in data entry, data cleaning, and data management.
Familiarity with data collection tools such as Open Data Kit (ODK).
Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
Demonstrated experience in audio transcription and strong literature review skills.
High attention to detail, strong organization skills, and ability to work independently and in teams.
