Terms of Reference
Globally, Corporate and Financial Institutions Coverage is a key component of the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) division at Standard Chartered Bank. This team is responsible for managing and developing client relationships in collaboration with product partners across the bank’s global network. They deliver a comprehensive suite of solutions, including working capital, financing, trade, cash management, and financial markets services. Their offerings span from sustainable trade finance to credit derivatives and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) advisory. Professionals within this function work closely with influential local and international corporates, engaging with multiple teams across the CIB business and the broader bank. The Corporate and Financial Institutions Coverage team plays a critical role in the client experience by guiding clients through the bank’s products and solutions. They collaborate extensively with internal product specialists, support teams, and various stakeholders. Standard Chartered Bank’s Corporate & Investment Banking division offers professionals the opportunity to innovate, lead, and make a meaningful impact. These clients form a vital part of the economies the bank serves, reinforcing CIB’s central role in advancing commerce and prosperity through the bank’s diverse global footprint. Interns joining this division will be placed either with the Credit Analysts team or with the Relationship Managers, gaining valuable exposure to the core functions of Corporate and Investment Banking.
