Equity Bank Opens Multiple Job Opportunities with Urgent October Deadlines

    Equity Bank Kenya has opened several job vacancies across various locations, with all roles based in Kenya. Career coach Emmanuel Makokha advises that for senior-level positions, candidates should customize their CVs to highlight leadership accomplishments and measurable outcomes. As part of Equity Group Holdings, which operates across East Africa, the bank noted that while all positions are based in Kenya, some roles may require working from multiple locations within the country.

    Equity Bank Unveils Senior Career Opportunities

    1. Head of Shared Services - Non-Transactional (EBKL)

    Role Overview:
    This position is responsible for establishing, overseeing, and continuously optimizing the Shared Services operations within Equity Bank Kenya Limited (EBKL).

    The role provides strategic leadership in designing efficient, scalable, and sustainable shared services frameworks that support the bank’s operational excellence and long-term growth objectives.


    2. Head of Reconciliations (EBKL)

    The Head of Reconciliations oversees the bank’s Settlements and Reconciliations processes while developing and recommending strategies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control.

    This role involves close collaboration with internal departments, senior business leaders, and external partners to design and implement a sustainable and effective reconciliations framework aligned with regulatory and operational requirements.


    3. Performance Analyst - Operations

    Role Purpose:
    To provide strategic focus and performance oversight across financial and operational metrics.

    The Performance Analyst manages financial performance, business operations analysis, and management information (MI) processes. Serving as the primary liaison with other business functions, the role supports performance-related initiatives and projects.

    The analyst regularly engages with the Country Branch Network to evaluate performance drivers, track progress against targets, and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership, including the Director of Operations and Director of Retail & Branch Business.


    4. Digitization and Projects Manager

    The Digitization and Projects Manager oversees and coordinates initiatives within the Group’s Digital Operations portfolio.

    This role works closely with Project Managers and key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope. Success in this position requires strong project management skills, adaptability, and the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.


    5. Business Process Re-engineering Manager

    The Business Process Re-engineering Manager (Process Modeler) is responsible for developing, documenting, and implementing Procedure Manuals for Group Operations.

    The role involves gathering and analyzing information from subject matter experts, operational documentation, and technical data to develop structured business process models using established methodologies and Visio templates.

    Additional responsibilities include facilitating workshops, conducting interviews, managing process improvement projects, and producing comprehensive technical documentation to support operational efficiency and standardization.


    6. Project Officer - Renewable Energy, Blue Economy and Marine Litter (EGF)

    Organization: Equity Group Foundation (EGF)

    Equity Group Foundation (EGF), established in 2008, leads the Group’s social investment initiatives aimed at improving social and economic well-being across Africa through empowerment, capacity building, and access to inclusive financial services.

    EGF operates across all countries where Equity Group is present and focuses on seven key pillars: Energy, Environment and Climate Change, Education and Leadership, Food and Agriculture, Enterprise Development and Financial Inclusion, Health, Innovation, and Social Protection.

    The Project Officer will support a three-year project funded by NORAD, targeting startups and SMEs in Renewable Energy, Blue Economy, Marine Litter, and Clean Cooking sectors. Reporting to the Associate Director of Energy, Environment and Climate Change, the role provides technical support under the Financing Innovation N Entrepreneurship (FINE) program.

    The initiative aims to foster entrepreneurship, create jobs, promote sustainable aquatic food systems, and support the adoption of climate-resilient innovations across the region.
