Role Overview

Inua AI is seeking a passionate and analytical Cyber Security Intern to join its team. This role offers hands-on experience in protecting digital assets, monitoring security threats, and supporting cybersecurity initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in monitoring security alerts, logs, and incidents.
Support vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities.
Help identify, investigate, and report potential security risks.
Assist in configuring and maintaining security tools (e.g., firewalls, SIEM, endpoint protection).
Escalate incidents for further action when necessary.
Document incidents according to established incident management processes.
Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to provide incident updates.
Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security trends.
Create exclusions, queries, and enhancements to improve security for clients.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's degree in Computing Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in information security, incident response, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with security technologies and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, etc.).
Knowledge of incident response methodologies and best practices.
Foundational certification such as Security+ or equivalent is required.
